Meet Jack Peng

Jack is a talented 18 year old with autism who enjoys drawing, playing guitar, making cookies and dancing. Jack participates in art therapy, and the Blue Hat baking program at the Center for All Abilities in New York City.

What is an interesting fact about you?
"I build Gundam models."

What's your favorite style art?
"My favorite style of art is drawing."

What do you love about Center for All Abilities?
"Everyone is so nice."

Anything special you want people to know about you?
"I've learned how to solve Rubik's cube."

CREATION & PROCESS

Jack's Work

Jack is very purposeful and deliberate in his art-making, resulting in highly detailed and thoughtful pieces. He enjoys exploring how he can use a variety of artistic tools to add textural elements and dimension to his works. Jack displays great determination and patience in his process, sometimes spending several weeks on a project before he views it as complete.

Leopard Love

Using acrylic paints, Jack used detailed strokes to create this fierce jungle cat.

The Four Seasons

During the season change from Fall to Winter, Jack was inspired to paint the leaves of each season.

Bold Blooms

Bright colors and textured brushstrokes were used to create this flower and landscape.

Spots of a Leopard

After painting his Leopard artwork, Jack spent time studying the spots of a leopard—using oil pastels to create his own version of the iconic print.
