Meet Denise

Denise is a talented 24 year old who has Down syndrome. She is a performer at heart, you can always catch her singing and dancing–especially when Big Time Rush is on! Denise participates in art therapy and programing at GiGi’s Playhouse NYC.

What do you love about GiGi's Playhouse?
"Everything!" Cooking and math from GiGi Prep are some of her favorite activities.

What are your hobbies?
“I love to sing, play basketball, and surf. And hangout with and meet new friends at GiGi's! "

What's a fun fact about you?
“I love my God Son Sean and Big Time Rush." Denise also has 5 siblings and 10 nieces and nephews!

'I AM FUN'

Created with acrylic paint, this piece truly says it all! From the phrase 'I am fun', to the phrase 'I love....' Denise uses both words and color to express her joy and love for others!

Bold Stripes

Using one of her favorite colors, green, Denise creates bold brushstrokes to create this colorblock piece. We used this artwork along with her signature phrases and geometric shapes to create our Love Stripes print.
